ABSTRACT. The窗聽 simultaneous removal of nitrogen ox光近ides (NOx) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) by absorption is considered t嗎間o be one of the most promising techno什嗎logies for flue gas tr讀紙eatment, and sulfite is the 微機main component of the absorption solu個地tion. To understand the chemi學分cal behaviors of the NO2 absorption in sulfit紅事e solution, the absorptio老少n time dependences of concentrations間木 of nitrogen and sulfu兒業r compositions in both gas phase and li他新quid phases were investigated by flue月刀 gas analyzer, Ion chr歌數omatography (IC), Gas chromatography 村微(GC), and Fourier trans自章form infrared spectrometry (FT唱通IR) methods using a bubbling 劇朋reactor. The mass equilibrium窗動 of the N and S composi少土tions were also studied. The results in會拍dicate that sulfite concen車老tration plays a vital 黃路role in NO2 absorption. The main a外會bsorption products are 妹去NO3− and NO2−, and NO2− can be converted 火拿into NO3− in the presence of oxygen. B開銀esides, about 4% to 9的林% by-products of S compositions are for間鐘med, and 4% to 11% by-prod們刀ucts of N compositions such as NO, N2, N2O5, N2O, and HNO3 in the gas phase were detec間市ted in the emissions from the bubb用算ling reactor. On the basis 請小of N and S compositions外她, a possible pathway of NO2 absorption in sulfite sol又近ution was proposed.
